Hello Everyone, I’ve updated my fundraiser and want to update my story as well. I was approved for housing back in April and raised the funds I needed to move in finally on May 30th!!! Thank you so much seriously. Life has been better for baby and I and I’m so grateful.
A little background about us: I’m a single Black mom, and I also live with a heart condition that requires me to wear a Zoll LifeVest. I developed this heart condition at the birth of my baby in July 2025, after a student administered my epidural and I went into cardiac arrest. Baby was born with HIE but has made such tremendous progress, despite the odds.
1 year later and we have been slowly regaining stability and I’ve been doing everything I can to stay afloat and take care of my baby.
I’m having trouble finding and affording childcare for baby. I am disabled but haven’t heard anything from my open case for benefits. I have to keep pushing forward! I’m so close to securing a job, but I need a little help. I can’t afford rent and childcare all while doing delivery gigs and looking for a remote work. My car has been needing some repairs as well. My vehicle is my only means for transportation and is a critical part of my daily routine. Your support will help relieve stress, keep us sheltered for another 30 days and give me more time to get settled.
This is now our home and we love it here! If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount makes a real difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser helps more than you know. Thank you for supporting us during this important moment.
