My husband, Tito, was in a horrible car accident yesterday morning. He was rushed to the hospital where he is fighting for his life. He had emergency surgery yesterday due to having massive internal bleeding. They were able to get some of the bleeding under control; however, he is still actively bleeding. They had to leave his abdomen open after surgery with a sterile seal to help him recover. He already has had two blood transfusions. The accident also caused all his abdominal muscles to tear and they are entirely damaged. The surgeon had to remove 6 inches of his small intestines and part of his colon as well. They are still determining what they can do to fix his abdominal situation. He might need to get a colostomy bag surgical placed, but right now is touch and go. He also broke 5 ribs, left shoulder, right wrist, sternum, collar bone, and possibly his left foot. He has another surgery on Monday for his abdomen and still will need multiple surgeries for him to be able to recover. Our family needs assistance with medical and monthly costs.
