Titan is my first and only dog, and he’s been my best friend since the day he found me. At around 12 years old, Titan is a 110-pound bundle of love who has always been the most friendly and inquisitive companion. He loves meeting new people and animals, playing tug of war with his toys, and catching frisbees. Titan has been by my side every day, even coming to work with me, and his joyful spirit has helped me through some of my toughest times.
Recently, Titan suffered a serious injury to his left rear leg while jumping, and now he can’t put any weight on it. Watching him struggle to get up, hop around, and miss out on our daily routines has been heartbreaking. Living upstairs has made things even harder for both of us, and I worry that without surgery, he could injure his only good rear leg. Titan is a thyroid cancer survivor, having bravely completed two tumor surgeries and two rounds of chemo. Thankfully, his recent x-rays showed no signs of cancer, but now he faces another challenge: he needs Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) surgery to regain his mobility and quality of life.
The cost of the surgery is significant, and while I’ve found a not-for-profit clinic willing to help, the expense is still more than I can manage alone. I’m seeking support to cover the main surgery cost so Titan can start his journey to recovery. He still has so much love, play, and fight left in him, and I want to give him every chance to enjoy the life he deserves. Titan has always been there for me, and now I’m asking for help to be there for him.
