Please Help Tita Marissa Recover After a Stroke
Donation protected
On May 6th, our beloved family friend, Tita Marissa Doma, mother of Maiko, Anna and Carlo suffered a devastating stroke. This unexpected event has not only shaken her health but also placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on her and her family.
Tita Marissa is currently in the process of applying for her Permanent Residency in Canada, which means she does not yet qualify for provincial health coverage in Ontario. As a result, all her emergency medical care, hospitalization, and the extensive rehabilitation she now urgently needs must be paid out of pocket. For anyone, these costs would be overwhelming – but for someone without medical insurance, they are nearly impossible to manage alone.
Although her husband and children are Canadian citizens and are doing everything they can to support her, they also carry their own personal responsibilities and financial obligations. The weight of these unexpected medical expenses has placed a significant burden on their lives.
In the Filipino spirit of bayanihan – our deep-rooted tradition of coming together to support one another in times of need – we humbly reach out to your generous hearts. Whether you know Tita Marissa personally or not, your help can make a life-changing difference. Every dollar raised will go directly to her hospital bills, ongoing care, and rehabilitation therapies as she begins the long road to recovery.
No amount is too small, and every gesture of kindness brings hope to a family in crisis. Please consider donating, sharing this page, and keeping Tita Marissa and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Let’s show them that they are not alone. Together, we can lift them up and help Tita Marissa heal.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support.
