Join Tishia's Fight Against Stage 4 Lung Cancer!
Donation protected
Dear family, friends and supporters,
I come to you with an urgent plea for help for my sister who was diagnosed with stage four small cell lung cancer.
My sister, Tishia is the backbone for her family, our fierce lioness. She became a widow in 2013 when her husband suddenly passed away from a widow maker heart attack. She was left raising her three children by herself. Then tragedy hit her family once again ten years later. Her daughter passed away tragically March 2023. Leaving her to raise her granddaughter on her own. She has been the caregiver of our parents who have battled cancer the past two years.
On September 6th, Tishia went to the local ER with shortness of breath. X-rays showed a large mass in her lungs, and after a series of biopsies, CTs, and brain MRIs at Vanderbilt in Nashville, oncologists confirmed lung cancer that has spread to her brain and some spots in other areas of her body. The doctors estimated she has 3 months to live without treatment and up to a year, with treatment.
This week, Tishia starts an intensive and aggressive Chemo & Radiation treatment therapy.
Here's where we're asking for your help. We're asking for any donation you feel comfortable sharing to support Tishia and her granddaughters basic needs throughout the journey, travel expenses for her treatments and any medical expenses not covered. Since Tishia's tumor is blocking her right bronchial tube and the treatments will be extremely taxing, she will not be able to continue working, covering hospital costs, travel expenses and supporting her grand daughter. Once we cover her medical expenses, travel expenses and make sure her family is cared for, our goal will be to to enhance Tishia's quality of life. We're a family of fighters, and Tishia is a warrior of God. Her faith and strength keeps us strong during the darkest moments, and we want to give back to her even more than she gives to all of us.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. We'll keep you posted along the journey as we pray and fight for a miraculous recovery and easier journey for Tishia and her family.
