This is our sister, Tisha. Tisha is a loving and dedicated mom of two children. She has spent 20+ years in supply chain, purchasing, logistics and management, in which she has advanced and been promoted several times. Shortly after her last promotion, beginning in October 2020, she has spent the past four months in and out of the hospital, including several multiple night stays. Eventually, she was diagnosed with a stage 2 kidney disease, Class 5 Lupus and a rare blood disorder called APS.
After exhausting her vacation and going on short term disability, Tisha was about to switch to long term disability with plans to return to work on March 8th as planned by her doctors. Unfortunately, on Monday, January 11th, she was terminated by her employer. While morally deplorable, it was well within the employer's legal rights to terminate her after 12 weeks FMLA/Short term disability had ended. Our goal in setting up this GoFundMe page is to help support payment of our sister's medical bills as she will lose her insurance and income. Tisha still has a long road to recovery and it will be much more helpful with financial support. Your generous donation will be used immediately to help pay the mounting medical bills.
