My name is Asante, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Tisha, who has been given an incredible opportunity to study abroad. I am helping share her story and raise support to make this possible.

Hello everyone,
My name is Tisha, and I am a second-year student at the University of Namibia, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology.
I come from a modest background, and pursuing higher education has not always been easy. Like many students, I have had to keep pushing forward despite financial limitations because I believe education can change not only my own future, but also the future of my family and community.
I have now been given an incredible opportunity: I have been accepted into an international student exchange programme in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, from 31 August 2026 to 22 January 2027.
For someone from my circumstances, opportunities like this are rare. This exchange would allow me to grow academically, gain international exposure, learn from different cultures, and return home with broader knowledge and skills that I hope to use in service of my community and beyond.
As exciting as this opportunity is, the financial costs are a major obstacle. I am seeking support to help cover the essential expenses required to make this journey possible.
Estimated Costs (Namibian Dollars)
- Visa and documentation expenses (N$13,000). Includes travel to South Africa for the visa appointment, accommodation, apostille, and visa processing fees.
- International return flights (N$25,000). Estimated round-trip cost (approximately £780–£1,400), depending on booking time and availability.
- Travel preparation and essentials (N$6,000). Suitcase, document preparation, and required travel items.
- Winter clothing (N$5,000). Essential clothing suitable for the Czech Republic’s winter climate.
- Local travel and living costs during visa process (N$4,500) (Food, transport, and other necessary expenses while attending the visa appointment.)
- Emergency/contingency buffer (N$6,500) To cover unexpected or fluctuating costs).
Total Goal: N$60,000 (approximately £2,650)
These estimates are based on current prices and may vary slightly depending on booking time and exchange rates.

This is more than a trip, it is an opportunity to break barriers, grow through education, and return with knowledge that can benefit others.
