Help Tisha and Aunt Carol Rebuild After Fire

Hello, my name is Jaminett Ortiz and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my cousin, Tisha Merced, and her mother, my Aunt Carol VanBlarcum. It is with a heavy and sad heart that I write this tonight. Tisha and Aunt Carol suffered a horrible fire at their home this morning. The home is condemned due to excessive water and smoke damage. They are currently displaced and living in a hotel. They will be living day by day for the next several months.

By the Grace of God, Tisha and her family are safe. Tisha and Aunt Carol both have dedicated years of their lives to helping others. Both have worked at Geneva General Hospital for decades. I know they have touched the hearts of many and now, in their time of need, I pray you will help them too. It's never easy to ask for help, so I am asking for them.

Tisha and Aunt Carol have worked endlessly to build a secure and safe home for Tisha’s twin sons, both of whom attend college. They are active members of St. Francis Church where Evan is highly regarded and loved by every parishioner. Aunt Carol spent 30+ years at Living Centers North and South, caring for patients as if they were family, creating memories and special moments for each and every person that walked through those doors. Tisha has likewise dedicated years to serve at Geneva General Hospital and is highly regarded by her co-workers and medical staff alike.
