Dear Friends, Family & Compassionate Strangers,
I want to take this opportunity to share some difficult news - On August 16, 2023 Tirzah was diagnosed with widespread metastatic breast cancer. There is no cure offered, but rather the treatment focuses on extending quality of life for as long as possible.
Since that pivotal date, Tirzah's time has been filled with scans, biopsies, surgery, tests and doctor's visits. Both the chemotherapy and the progression of the cancer have drained her of energy and made it impossible for her to work. The combination of additional expenses, significantly reduced family income and a frightening diagnosis produces such an overwhelming stress, that it is hard to describe in words.
The way Jeff & Tirzah have responded has been a powerful example. They have taken the practical steps of reducing expenses, selling many possessions, and filing for available assistance (which will begin to help in June of 2024). They have continued in their routines, and focused on helping others.
We know that you may feel compelled to help - What is needed?
- Share words of comfort & encouragement
- Share their story
- Make a donation in accord with your circumstances.
Please know that all such acts of compassion are deeply appreciated and will not go unnoticed.
