Help Give Tiny Tim the Big Future He Deserves

Meet Tiny Tim, the newest and smallest member of the Wags and Whiskers Rescue UK family. At just 12 weeks old, this tiny Chihuahua has already faced more challenges than most dogs do in a lifetime. Despite a difficult start in life, Tiny Tim is a bundle of sweetness and love, but he needs your help to stay that way.

During his initial vet checks, it was discovered that Tiny Tim has a serious heart condition called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus), and this is why he was surrenderedto us. Essentially, a blood vessel that should have closed at birth remained open, causing blood to flow incorrectly and putting an immense strain on his tiny heart.

The Good News:

Our specialists at Southern countrie Specialists have confirmed that Tiny Tim’s condition is surgically curable. Because he is so young and his heart function is still strong, a specialist surgery to close the vessel—using a small "plug" or by tying it off—will give him an excellent prognosis. If we act now, Tiny Tim can live a full, normal life without the need for lifelong medication.

The Urgency:

Right now, Tiny Tim’s heart is "hyperdynamic," meaning it is working much harder than it should. It is already showing signs of being "mildly dilated" (stretched). We have to limit his puppy play and keep him calm to prevent heart failure while we wait for surgery. We need to get him into the operating room as soon as possible to ensure he doesn't suffer permanent damage.
