Help Tinetta Duncan's Family Rebuild After Fire

Hi! My name is Tinetta Duncan and on 09/22/24, my family and I lost our house due to a fire. I just want to say thank you so much to everyone that called/texted, showed us sympathy and empathy, and who showed hospitality as we try to transition and process everything that happened.

For those who don’t know, it was a grease fire that spread extremely quickly! The fire completely destroyed our kitchen and most of the upstairs furniture. No one was hurt and everyone made it out of the house safely, thank God. This could have been a lot worse, so I’m blessed and thankful to still be alive. Trying to look at the positive in this, but we have a long road ahead!

We can no longer stay in the house, but Red Cross was generous enough to provide us a hotel at Red Roof Inn for the week. We are devastated, to say the least, and have a long road ahead to rebuild. We are asking for emergency funding to help us get by until we figure out what’s next. We have 3 kids to feed, a dog, and a million clothes to wash due to the residue and smoke. We need funds so we will be able to afford our hotel after this week. I am asking for anything you can offer us and most of all, strong prayers! If you are willing to help, we appreciate you in advance.
