❤️Help Tina Walk Again
Tina is a small rescue dog taken in by Marina from a shelter in Kyiv. From the very beginning, Tina faced serious health challenges — she was born with a hernia and an unhealed fontanel. Marina performed several surgeries to help her grow stronger.
Several months ago, Marina noticed that Tina’s legs were having problems. Initially, an X-ray was done, but the situation worsened over time. A month ago, Marina was able to raise funds for an MRI, which confirmed fourth-degree dislocations in both legs. She urgently needs a very complex and costly surgery.
The surgery involves custom-designed titanium plates to stabilize her legs. Doctors are confident — about 99% — that Tina will be able to walk again. Her nerves are alive, and her legs can support her, but she cannot do it without surgery.
Marina is dedicated to helping animals in Ukraine and already cares for three other dogs at home, who are not completely healthy themselves. Despite all her responsibilities, Marina is doing everything she can to save Tina from becoming immobile.
Marina’s life has been extremely challenging: her husband, who served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is now hospitalized with severe injuries, and her son has diabetes. They survived a harsh winter in Kyiv under constant shelling, with no electricity or heating. Marina spent her savings on heating and other necessities.
The surgery for one leg will cost approximately 180,000 UAH (~$4,200 USD). Right now, we are raising funds for Tina’s right leg, which will allow her to stand and start walking again.
Because Marina lives in Kyiv, she cannot create a GoFundMe herself. As her close friend, I decided to open this campaign to help her and Tina.
