Hi everyone!
I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing niece, Tina. At just 36 years old, Tina is facing her second battle with endometrial cancer, a fight no one should have to endure once, let alone twice. Her courage and strength through it all have been nothing short of inspiring.
Tina's journey with cancer began in May of 2022. After months of not feeling well, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer on November 16, 2022. She bravely underwent a hysterectomy in January 2023 and spent the next two years in remission, living life with gratitude and hope.
After two years of remission, we were devastated to learn that the cancer had returned. A mass was found on January 10, 2025, and it was confirmed as cancer again on January 23. Tina began chemotherapy in February and has now completed six rounds. I had the privilege to be with her for hopefully her last round of chemotherapy ever on May 27th. Up next, she will undergo 25 rounds of radiation (daily treatments), followed by surgery to remove her ovaries, a step that will hopefully prevent the cancer from ever coming back.
Tina continues to face each challenge with strength, positivity, and grace. But as you can imagine, the road ahead comes with not just emotional and physical challenges, but financial ones, too. Tina will be on short-term disability while she recovers from surgery, which only covers part of her income. Tina and her boyfriend also share a car, which will make daily trips for her upcoming radiation treatments challenging. She can request rides from the cancer society in her area, but since it is dependent on volunteers, availability can be limited and the expense of paying for an Uber or taxi every day would add up quickly. Between lost wages, transportation costs, and everyday living expenses, the support of her community would make a world of difference.
I am raising funds to help Tina with:
- Paying for an Uber to and from radiation treatments when she is unable to get rides from volunteers at the cancer society.
- Lost wages while she recovers from surgery and finishes treatment.
- Basic living expenses during her recovery.
Tina has always been the type of person to help others and now it’s our turn to lift her up. If you’re able to donate, please know every dollar brings her one step closer to healing with less stress. And if you can’t give right now, sharing this campaign or sending words of encouragement means so much.
Tina is determined to beat this again and we’re standing with her every step of the way. Thank you for being a part of her support system and showing her she’s not alone.
With heartfelt thanks,
Angela (Tina’s proud aunt)
