I am currently a sophomore at Oral Roberts University, and my journey here has been shaped by both challenges and hope. After losing my dad in 2011, my mother has worked tirelessly to care for my brother, my two cousins, and me. Despite these hardships, I have remained committed to my education and to making a positive impact in my community. Now, I am facing a significant hurdle: I need to pay off my fall 2025 tuition fees, and I am at risk of de-enrollment because I have not yet registered for the spring semester due to financial constraints. In order to register and stay in school, I must complete the entire process before February 4.
Reaching my full tuition need is essential for me to continue my education and remain at ORU. Being able to pay my tuition would mean so much more than just staying in school. It would allow me to focus on academic excellence and continue my involvement in extracurricular activities, both in and outside the classroom, without the constant worry of where my next deposit will come from. I am actively involved in the Missions and Outreach team at ORU, and last fall, I had the privilege of participating in community-building projects at the Tulsa Hill Youth Ranch. Working with children who have come from difficult backgrounds, I saw firsthand how small acts of kindness can help heal and inspire hope. These experiences have fueled my passion for service and leadership.
Looking ahead, I plan to continue my work with the Missions and Outreach program, participate in Residential Advisor training, and help launch an educational program for international students. Achieving a 4.0 GPA in my first semester has shown me what is possible with determination and support. By investing in my education, you are helping a young leader who is committed to building a better future for all. Your support will not only help me stay in school but will also empower me to give back to my community and inspire others to do the same.
