Update!!

I want to thank everyone so far for the amount donated I'm so very humbled and grateful. Considerations were made and the decision was also made that that location was going to be too expensive and too far away for me, so I have found a place closer to home. I still need help relocating as it's a big task. I've adjusted the budget as I'm not going to need as much money as I would have for the other move and I'm hoping I can reach my goal so I can move without major stress. Thank you again in advance I really appreciate the help being on a fixed income and disabled is not the easiest in these times. A ssi income budget does not allow moving, let alone as often as it requires when housing is unstable.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share what’s going on in my world, because things shifted pretty fast.

The property my camper is on is being put up for sale. The homeowner has been living in a care facility the entire time I’ve been here, and with the new insurance and government changes, her family is having to sell the home ASAP to keep paying for her care. It makes total sense, and there’s no bad energy — but it does mean the place I thought would be long-term isn’t anymore.

I’m not being pushed out today, but I will have to move. And with winter right around the corner, I knew I needed to be smart and proactive, not scrambling later in a storm or during an escrow rush.

A few days after learning all this, many of my friends sent me an add that had just been posted about a quiet winter RV spot in Walton with owners who have really good hearts. I went and met with them and i have a spot if i can quickly commit and come up with the necessary funds. The land feels peaceful. It feels safe. It’s the kind of space that lets my nervous system unclench.

It’s a winter-only situation because they will also be selling their property likley in the spring — but it buys me stability through the cold months and time to find a permanent home when the season shifts.

This move isn’t about preference.

It’s about preventing displacement and keeping myself and my animals safe.

Why I’m Asking for $2,000

Moving an RV isn't as cheep as one would think— especially when you’re disabled, on a fixed income, and the move involves towing, repairs, hookups, and a new property agreement.

Here’s exactly what I need to make this happen:

Housing Setup-

$500 — First month’s rent

(I need to keep my disability check available for emergencies the first month on new land)

$500 — Deposit

Moving Costs-

$150–$300 — RV towing

$250 — U-Haul (if I can’t get enough volunteers)

Repairs & Setup-

$200 — Heavy-duty RV power cords/adapters

$75–$100 — Heater repair for winter propane

$100–$120 — 100ft premium food-grade water hose

Total: $1,875–$2,070

So a $2,000–$2,100 goal is honest and realistic.

Why This Move Matters To Me

I haven't been able to relay on myself for income the last few months due to disability exacerbation, so community support would relly get me back to a regulated state, to enable myself to find long term housing, reopen JellyLadyLane (again), and prep for business as well as foraging in the spring.

Im proactively not waiting until I’m in crisis. I’m moving now — while it’s safe, while the roads are clear, and before winter storms make everything harder, riskier, and more expensive.

This move lets me:

stay warm, grounded, and safe through winter

alow me to recover with little pressure.

protect my animals

avoid last-minute displacement

have the breathing room to search for a permanent home in the spring

stay in a peaceful environment that supports my health and stability

reopen JellyLadyLane before Christmas

This is about making the smart choice, not the last-minute one.
