My name is Debbie Cohen. Let me start off by saying that I have never created a Fund Raiser for a person. This is so urgent and important that I feel it needs to be done. A dear friend fell in the bathroom on 12/30/25. She broke her left shoulder and right hip. She has no insurance as she doesn't qualify for Obama Care and too young for Medicare. She doesn't work because of a disability and was trying to get disability but the hoops are tremendous. The hospital social worker is trying to get her Medicaid. Her husband is disabled with the beginning stages of Alzheimers. She is the first to help anyone. I'm part of a local Garden Community. Two times a year we have a Festival to raise money. She does not even live in the same state as I do, but made a gorgeous Diamond Art to raise money. They have a gorgeous rescue Green Iguana they love with all their heart and take care of. She is her husband's caregiver. She already had surgery and now her heart rate is up more than they like. Once she is medically stable she will be transferred to an Accute Rehabilitation Facility.
