Four years ago, at just 36 years old, Tina, a loving friend, wife and mother of two young children, was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer. Since then, she has undergone a complete double mastectomy and three different courses of treatment. Unfortunately, Tina’s most recent PET scan showed that the cancer has now spread to her chest and pelvic bone, and she urgently needs further treatment.

Over the past four years, her family has exhausted all of their savings in an effort to keep her treatment going. They are no longer eligible for additional bank loans, as they already have an outstanding medical loan of €100,000. At this point, they can no longer afford the treatment Tina needs, nor the cost of obtaining a second or third medical opinion about her current condition.

Of all the treatments Tina has received over the past four years, the only one that proved effective was the treatment she underwent at a specialised hospital in Istanbul, Türkiye, where conventional cancer treatment is combined with complementary therapies. Unfortunately, this treatment costs approximately €14,000 per month, and she will need to continue it for at least six months. This amount does not include accommodation, travel or other expenses associated with receiving treatment abroad.
