HELP TINA BURNISON REGAIN HOPE

My name is Ashley Greene, I am Tina Burnison's daughter. At the risk of her being mad at me for doing this fundraiser, I have decided to set this up for her. In April of 2024, Tina started having some neurological symptoms such as numbness and pain in her hands. This quickly progressed to very limited use of her hands and trouble with her balance. Fast forward to the end of May where she was unable to work as she couldn't walk, use her hands, drive, etc.

After an ER trip to UNMC, it was discovered that she has a type of cervical stenosis (to simplify it) that essentially is going to cause her to become a quadriplegic and very quickly. She has a mass in the back of her neck pressing down on her spinal column. She spent a week in the hospital undergoing every test known to man. It was determined that she must undergo a very extensive surgery in which they will put a metal rod in her neck to help with this. She will then never be able to move her head up and down again. This surgery is not a guarantee. It will most likely not fix any damage that is already done, but could help her become not completely paralyzed.

Tina will never be able to work again. She has been a nurse for 31 years and typically worked 80-90 hours a WEEK! Tina is super woman! She is a mother to 3, grandmother to 4 and her family is her world. Tina was named the 'Mills County mother of the year' if that tells you anything!! As of today, surgery is on hold due to the financial cost of it and insurance in our country being a nightmare.

Any funds left for Tina are running down very quickly with her being unable to work. Her husband also is unable to work due to a massive heart attack. My hope is that this will help relieve a little stress and help with some bills until disability could kick in for her.
