My name is Timothy, and I’m trying to make it through one of the hardest moments of my life. Right now, I’m in Wichita, Kansas staying with family, but I have a mandatory court hearing in Wilkesboro, North Carolina that I cannot miss. To make it on time, I must leave by April 5th. I’ve already used my last postponement, so this is my final chance. Over the past 4 months, I’ve been doing everything I can to find work, but I still have no income. At the same time, I’m facing eviction within days. I am profoundly deaf, which makes it harder to access help quickly since many resources require phone calls. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get to North Carolina. Bus tickets are expensive, and they don’t allow pets. I have an emotional support cat there, and I wouldn’t be able to bring my cat back with me if I take the bus.

If I can rent a car, I would be able to make it to court and also bring back my belongings and my emotional support cat safely. The funds will help cover transportation, gas, food, and basic needs during this trip. I only have a few days left to make this happen.
