Timothy Kayanja has spent his life bravely facing the challenges of sickle cell anemia. For years, he has endured pain and repeated health crises, showing the strength and resilience that so many in his situation are known for. Recently, Timothy received another difficult diagnosis: aplastic anemia. This rare and serious condition means his bone marrow is no longer able to produce enough new blood cells, putting his life at even greater risk.
Now, Timothy urgently needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. The procedure must happen within the next three months, before his condition progresses further. The transplant and related medical care will take place in Kenya, where Timothy will travel to Agha Khan Hospital for consultations, preliminary tests, and the search for a suitable donor. The costs for the transplant, travel, and ongoing care are significant, and his family cannot manage them alone.
Your support can make all the difference. By contributing to this fundraiser, you are giving Timothy a real chance at recovery and a healthier future. Every donation, no matter the size, brings him closer to the treatment he desperately needs. Please join us in supporting Timothy on his journey to healing. Your kindness and generosity are deeply appreciated.
Note: The first campaign was suspended because Timothy opened it up in Uganda, where GoFundMe does not operate. This campaign is now being run by his brother, Frank Matovu. All money donated in the first campaign will be refunded to the donors.
