Help Timothy Earle heal from cancer
 
I'm scared, I’m in considerable pain and I‘m pushing through my resistance to ask for your support treating cancer. Wow, I said it. Ok. 

You may know that I recently moved to Maui, Hawaii on August 18th of this year. What I have not shared is that for a few weeks before to my departure from the Bay my throat had been hurting. Through a long, frustrating, confusing and tedious process involving doctors in both California and Maui, throat swabs and biopsies, an unfortunate and unfavorable diagnosis has been found. I have a 3 cm tumor on my tongue and tonsil that is too big to remove surgically. This news came to me one week before my 54th birthday. 
 
The recommendation is radiation and chemotherapy for approximately 6 weeks to shrink it. The first step of which is a PET Scan. My move to Hawaii and the severe pain I’m in has impeded my finances but even so, I was not prepared for a diagnosis like this. I am faced with a $6,300 deductible and $7,550 of out of pocket expenses, plus copays and other unforeseen expenses. The PET scan alone is approximated at $5,000-$6,000 and the six weeks of chemotherapy/radiation are billed by the hour at $40 per hour. I have no idea, at this point, how many hours total I will rack up in 6 weeks. I am also seeking to balance western medicine with a naturopathic doctor here in Maui. Together we have and will continue to work at keeping my body, mind, and heart strong throughout the medical process. My PET scan is scheduled for Wednesday next week. Hopefully, treatment will begin the week after that, November 25th, so that I may at least start getting relief from the pain. 
 
Since I have not saved up for this rainy day, for my birthday I’m asking for financial support and positive visions of radiant health within my body. Frankly, I have no idea how much money this medical path is going to require and at this point I am asking, envisioning assistance in the order of $10,000.
