My name is Timothy Buss and I am here with my wife Jackie to ask for your help.

In the past 12 months we have had some serious setbacks. First, we had a freak flash flood due to extremely heavy sudden rains. That destroyed our furnace, hot water heater and our air conditioning system.

Then this winter our pipes froze for 6 weeks. We had many leaks and even when they were repaired, we could only get water to our bathtub. At 71 and with balance issues this has been a very difficult and dangerous thing for me to make work.

Basically, we need to have our whole house replumbed. I have had to sell our car to get money to start repairs. We do have people who can get us around to doctor appointments and such and we are very grateful to them.

My wife is currently chair bound and needs surgery on both knees and both shoulders. After eight treatments on her back, she still is in constant pain. Now while I am her only caretaker, I have health issues too, including some dementia, diabetes with neuropathy in my feet and fingers, stage 3 kidney disease, and I need surgery to remove my prostate and to repair my right shoulder.

I love to help people. I founded a program that ran for over 20 years to help disadvantaged school age children receive the support that they needed to get the best chance at a successful life. We were surprised how well this went. And many were able to go on to get good jobs and even to attend college.

Now we need help and we would be so grateful if you can help us. To get our house and health taken care of, we have a goal of raising $12,000. We appreciate every donation large or small.
