My name is Anna, and I am reaching out for help for my son, Timofey. We are a Christian family who served God in Central Asia, and Timofey has been a believer since childhood, always joining us in church and serving others. In late 2022, Timofey was forced to leave his country due to threats of persecution. In February 2023, he arrived in the U.S., applied for political asylum, received work authorization and a driver’s license, and began building a safe new life.
Timofey is a kind, responsible, and compassionate young man who has always cared for others and tried to do the right thing. He worked hard, paid taxes, and even helped us pay for our home. Unfortunately, while driving a load from North Carolina to California, Timofey was detained and arrested in Oklahoma, despite having all his documents. He is now in jail, awaiting trial, and cannot work to pay for legal services. My husband and I have already taken on debt to pay for some legal help, but we need additional support for attorneys in California and Oklahoma, Habeas Corpus specialists, and a possible bond in Oklahoma.
The funds raised will help cover these urgent legal expenses and give Timofey a chance to defend himself and return to building a safe life in the U.S. Timofey is deeply saddened to find himself in a situation where he needs help, but we believe in the kindness of others and the power of community. Any support means the world to us and will help Timofey have hope for the future. Thank you for caring and standing with us in this difficult time.
