Help Timmy Feagin & his family after Ruidoso flood loss.

My name is Charles Khajeh & I’m posting this for my best friend Timmy Feagin & his family who tragically lost his father, Benjamin Timothy Feagin.

On July 8th, I got a phone call from Timmy saying the owner of the RV park where his dad was staying just called and said the park got flooded, your dad's camper & truck have been destroyed, and we can’t find your father. He was in a panic and said, 'I got to go find my dad; I think he might be dead.' I said, 'No way your dad is dead, knowing him, that’s impossible.' He said he knows my phone number by heart and he hasn’t called. I said he might have lost his phone or is helping others in the flood.

In a panic, Timmy & his wife Maria raced up to Ruidoso from Las Cruces to the Riverview RV park to look for his dad. When they got there, 2 other children were missing as well, and Timmy & Maria started looking for all 3.

Timmy called me and said they have a couple of bodies at the police station; we’re going down to check. After not hearing back from Timmy, I called Maria & she confirmed it was his dad's body as well as the two children from the same RV park.

After speaking with a camper at the site the next day, they told Timmy, 'There was no warning. We saw the water coming, people started leaving. Timmy’s dad ran to his truck, but by the time he got in, the water was a foot high and it washed the truck into a tree. Timmy got into the bed of his truck and the water kept rising, 5 feet of water. Tim & another camper swam to a pergola and held onto the rafters, but the water kept rising and it swept them away. There was a nearby bridge and the other survivor was able to hold on until he got rescued. Tim was not as lucky as he had just broken his hand and had arm surgery a couple of weeks prior and couldn’t hold on for dear life. His body was found a couple of miles down the river.'

His son Timmy just bought a piece of land in Ruidoso and they were planning on building a couple of homes to live together on a ranch. His father, Timmy Sr., just bought a camper to go out there while their home was being built. Then tragedy struck.
