Timber is a 2 year-old Husky Mix rescued from an abusive and neglectful home in February of 2020.
He was often put into dog fights, abused physically, left outside in the snow and rain and forced to scrounge up his own food. He was malnourished and mangy.
He had never been to the vet until he came into our care.
Over the last few months, Timber has had multiple procedures and vaccines to bring him up to par. The worst being a very intensive surgery to remove a mass off his neck which was determined to be the cause of trauma.
We have thousands of dollars into Timber's care. He's worth every penny as he's become a very important member of our family of six. I'm also working on him becoming an ASD- or Anxiety Support Dog; to which anxiety is something I suffer with greatly.
Unfortunately, Timber had an accident recently in which he tried to jump a gate in our home and ended up fracturing his tibia. It was a terrible break, and now he needs a very costly surgery to mend his injury and help the bone heal properly.
Yet because of all his past procedures, we have put ourselves in debt, maxed out credit cards and drained our family's savings.
I started this GoFundMe in hopes that someone who understands what a struggle it is to rehabilitate rescued animals from bad backgrounds will lend us a helping hand in our time of need.
This is a desperate reach in trying to give this boy the quality of life he so desperately deserves. Timber and his family thank you.
