Timber’s journey has been anything but easy. At just five months old, she found herself in a shelter, likely after suffering abuse. For a year, she waited in a kennel—scared, confused, and overlooked. When Timber came to my home as a foster, everything changed. She slowly began to trust, finding comfort in her big foster brother, Bruce Wayne, and following me around the house. She even started to accept gentle touches, something she never allowed before. Now, Timber kisses me on the cheek, speaks up when she wants attention, and howls when she’s ready to play. She sleeps peacefully in her dog bed at the foot of mine, finally feeling safe and loved.
I first met Timber through a local rescue’s website. I have a soft spot for special needs dogs, and I knew I wanted to help her heal. Timber is now facing a possible loss of vision in her left eye and needs urgent medical treatment. If she loses her eye, she’ll need specialty training to help her adjust. The funds raised will go toward her adoption fees, medical care, and any training she may need to thrive. I hope to cover what I can of her expenses, but time is short—her vet appointment is July 28, and if we can’t raise the funds by August 1, Timber will have to leave and start all over in a new home. She deserves the chance to stay where she feels safe and loved.
Your support will help Timber continue her journey of healing and ensure she never has to face the world alone again. Every donation and share brings us closer to keeping Timber in her forever home, where she truly belongs.
