Help Tim through his cancer recovery

Sometimes life throws you a curveball.
In April, our friend Tim was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The extensive testing also revealed a worrisome spot on one of his kidneys. Cancer is in his family medical history and both his Dad and Mom died at relatively young ages from cancer. Tim will have surgery at the end of July to remove his prostate. The surgeon wants to focus on completing the prostate surgery then proceed to do further testing on his kidney. It is very likely that his kidney could have cancer and will need to be surgically removed as well.
As a carpenter his work is always physical and he won't be able to work for quite a few months as he recovers. Our goal with this fundraiser is to allow Tim to take a break from work to give his body time to fully recover from one, possibly two surgeries. We think $20,000 will cover his living expenses for 6 months. If you can consider donating 10, 25, 50 or more it will help us reach our goal.
Tim is a world traveller and has mountain biked in over 50 countries making many good friends along the way. He is always quick to help others and his generous spirit is really inspiring. He's not used to being on the receiving end but he is a good guy who needs the support of others at this difficult time. This situation is placing enormous stress on Tim emotionally and as we all know, life and especially housing in Whistler is expensive so we are very concerned about the financial toll this will take. We don't want him to have to worry about losing his housing while he goes through his treatment and recovery. Let's make this as easy as possible for him by removing the money stress and let him focus on healing.
Thank you for your support, this is a stressful time as he has always provided for himself and been able to extend his help and resources to others. However, sometimes life has other plans. Let's pay it forward and help Tim out.
