Our dear friend, Tim Rodine, is facing the hardest chapter of his life. Three months ago Tim suffered his first mini stroke and three weeks ago he suffered another stroke, where they found masses in his head and neck. Doctors deemed the masses to be stage four terminal cancer. They have given him an estimated 180 days to live. During this time, Tim is fighting the debilitating side effects of brain cancer and a major stroke, while working to provide for himself.
We met Tim in grade school and love for football started a life long friendship for me and many others in the neighborhood. Fifteen to twenty kids played football everyday in my backyard and Tim had the disadvantage of being two years younger then most of us. However, Tim’s toughness and strength was courageous and we learned quickly about Tim’s resilience! Tim joined the Marine Corps in 1982 right out of high school at Lincoln as an MOS 0311, Infantry and donated 6 years of his life to this country.
Now his time is running short and our mission is simple. Tim would love to have one last ride and make lasting memories with those that love him. We are hoping to make that happen for him. We also feel that with the situation, he does not deserve to be doing physical labor and putting his body through even more stress.
Tim has given so much to others in his lifetime- through service, friendship, and loyalty. Now it’s our turn to give back and help him fulfill one last dream. Whether you donate $5 or $500, every bit helps make this possible.
Please share this and help our cause.
Semper Fi, Tim. We’ve got your back!
