On May 26th, 2025, Timothy Price and his son Mason were involved in a serious motorcycle accident while vacationing in New Hampshire. Miraculously, Mason walked away with just mild road rash, but Tim’s injuries were much more severe. He was rushed to the emergency room where doctors discovered that he had a broken scapula, seven broken ribs, a collapsed lung (pneumothorax), bleeding into his chest, as well as several lacerations and road rash.
After an urgent procedure to place a chest tube, Tim was airlifted to a trauma center in Portland, Maine, where he was placed in ICU until he underwent a seven-hour surgery today to have all seven of his ribs plated and 2 additional chest tubes placed. The surgery went well, and he is currently recovering. Though he is stable, the doctors are anticipating that he will need to stay in the hospital for at least another week as he continues to heal.
As Tim recovers, I am doing everything I can to be there for him. I am in the process of moving our belongings from New Hampshire to Maine so that I can be closer to him during this time. Right now, I’m driving nearly two hours each way to visit him once or twice a day, but this move will make things a little easier for me to be by his side.
Anyone who knows Tim knows how much he loves riding. It’s his favorite pastime and a passion he’s had for almost 30 years. Tim is also the founder of a small non-profit back home: the Swift River Conservation Effort, a group dedicated to cleaning up and maintaining the environment and waterways along the Swift River and beyond. But more than that, Tim is a man of deep character—he has a heart of gold and will always stand up for what’s right. Whether it’s through cleaning up the environment or having a healthy debate, Tim has always given his time and energy to others. He is the type of person who would give a stranger the shirt off his back without hesitation.
As the primary income earner for our household, I am now facing the reality of being out of work for at least a month to care for Tim. With Tim’s long-term medical needs, I am asking for your help. Funds raised will help cover the cost of medical bills, gas, minor car repairs from excess traveling, unexpected expenses, and daily living costs as we navigate this difficult time.
We know Tim’s recovery will be a long road, but if anyone can pull through, it’s him. He never quits. Your thoughts, prayers, and support are more appreciated than words can express.
If you’re able to contribute, no matter how small, we would be so grateful. And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this post to help us reach more people.
Thank you all for being a part of Tim’s journey and recovery.
With love and gratitude,
