Help Tim LaDukes family during his critical illness.

I’m raising money to help the family of Tim LaDuke offset costs during Tim’s lengthy and ongoing hospital stay. The LaDukes are the last to ask for help, and always the first to offer it.

Tim is currently at Albany Med in the ICU. He started with shingles on January 3rd and things have just spiraled since then. First he lost vision in his left eye, where he was first sent to Albany Med to be seen by a specialist. Upon returning to Albany for a follow up he started to lose his ability to walk, followed by his ability to use any of his limbs/extremities, then followed by an inability to swallow and difficulty breathing. There are many medical mysteries being tested for to explain his sudden decline. Every day is a new battle and his children Brettany and Aaron have been by his side for it all…advocating for him, keeping him comfortable, and getting all the answers they can.

Recently his family got news that the road ahead is going to be long and grueling. He will continue to be hospitalized in Albany for the foreseeable future, undergoing several more surgeries. There has been complication after complication and Tim is in constant pain, as well as mental decline. His children and his care team are doing their best to care for him both physically and mentally.

If you know “Tim”, “Duker”, “Big Tim”, “Uncle Tim”, “Mr. LaDuke” you know how devastating this is for everyone. Tim’s light shines bright and his kindness spreads wide. He has 2 kids that would do anything to keep him fighting through this scary, difficult time. Both his children have long commutes from their homes (Massena and Syracuse) to Albany Med along with travel expenses missed work and lodging on top of trying to maintain their homes and Tim’s in his absence.
