Hi, my name is Jackie. I am Tim's sister. I'm setting up this fundraiser so my brother might be able to stay in his home. He was diagnosed with ALS which is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease in the middle of September. He first started showing symptoms in the middle of March of 2021 which included trouble talking, slurring words, swallowing, and thinking of words. He was finally diagnosed during the middle of September and the doctor told him he could no longer work. His last day of work was the end of September 2021. He has been in the work force since he was 16 and is now 53 years old.

My brother had an estimate done to have his house made handicap accessible which would include a bedroom on the first floor and a walk in bathroom/shower that would be wheelchair accessible since his house is small and no bedroom on first floor. This will cost around $60,000.
Tim's disease overtime will cause his motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord to shrink and disappear. His muscles will not receive signals to move when this happens. His muscles will get smaller and weaker. Gradually his body becomes paralyzed, which means that his muscles will no longer work. Eventually he will need a special wheelchair and handicapped accessible vehicle to help his family and friends move him around to doctor appointments and family events.
Please consider Tim for a donation. I know there are many people who need help and I know you all work hard to make a living. If you read Tim's story and are not able to make a donation, please pray for Tim. He is very special to my family, friends, and me! We lost our sister when she was 19 years old. I'm believing for a miracle for my big amazing brother, Tim. Thank you so much for your time and generosity!
