Help Tim Breathe

Tim Noonan was a healthy individual enjoying the Park City lifestyle. Skiing, biking and actively supporting all the local businesses and restaurants until COVID-19 attacked his body!!! On March 30, 2020, his fever spiked and he was in respiratory failure. An Emergency Room visit to Park City Hospital resulted in him being sedated, intubated, and airlifted via life-flight to Intermountain Hospital.
Then came 30 days of COVID-19 I.C.U. on a ventilator, in a medically induced coma, fighting acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), kidney failure (Dialysis), pneumonia, blood clots, and cognitive impairment. He was CLINGING DESPERATELY TO LIFE.
Miraculously, he was able to emerge from this coma and be transferred for the next 30 days to the Respiratory I.C.U. A tracheotomy was performed and Tim was able to work himself off the respirator and on to continuous flow oxygen.
His progression continued and he was then placed in a 30-day inpatient rehab facility. He had to learn to talk, walk, eat and manage basic activities of daily living.
Now he finds himself unable to work and hooked up 24/7 to an oxygen maker/concentrator. He is limited by a 50-foot hose and power connection. He leaves home briefly to walk but not longer than his portable oxygen cylinder can last – approximately 60 minutes.
Tim is now attending outpatient therapy and needs to pack enough tanks to sustain him, this is all very difficult. At present, he is going through about 16 tanks a week. He is getting stronger and wanting to be more active. However, his oxygen needs limit his activities.
We are raising funds for a portable oxygen concentrator with an extra battery pack and accessories. This will give Tim a greater independence than refillable oxygen cylinders can provide.
A battery portable concentrator can be used anywhere. The batteries last for several hours and it can be easily recharged -even in the car. This will allow Tim much greater freedom and help him back to employment.
Tim has an incredibly positive attitude and is doing his very best to make himself strong and independent. However, a positive attitude only goes so far. He needs the help a portable concentrator provides to safety increase his activities without fear of running out of oxygen.
Tim’s requirements of oxygen are very high and the InogenOne G5 meets his needs. Right now it is on sale! We would be able to purchase the G5, a backpack carrier, extra battery, external charger, and a filter for around $5000. We aren’t sure when the price will go up. So please fellow Parkites and folks around the world help Tim breathe easier and get his life back.
