Help Tim Barry with Medical Debt and Bills
Donation protected
This is not my story to tell but I wouldn't be here without permission (gotten with a fair bit of effort). This is for Tim Barry. And anyone who knows Tim knows he does not like to ask for help. Even though he's the first in line TO help someone. If you need something and he can help, you know he's already in the car.
GoFundMe also tells me that nobody likes to read a wall of text. I may not be the best person to write this but here we are. If there's one thing I can do, it's ramble! I'll do my best to refrain so you'll stick with me. You can use AI to fix your work with a button on here. That's NOT happening.
A long time ago, there was a multi-thousand dollar medical bill that Tim had been disputing for years. He was in a car crash where his car was totaled. That meant his health insurance refused to cover it and said his car insurance had to pay for it. Being a resident in NH at the time, he did not have car insurance because the car was worth maybe $1k.
This went to a zombie debt collection agency who sent a summons to bring him to court over it a few months ago. He's moved twice since living at the address it went to, meaning the summons didn't arrive. Since he didn't show up in court, he lost and has to pay the collection agency. He has been working to pay it off already, at the expense of other bills.
This would be a pretty devastating financial hit by itself. But now Tim's injured - likely a herniated disc. He's waiting on an appt and getting by on some muscle relaxers. This could be a substantial medical bill which could (but hopefully won't) keep him from working / burn through his sick leave.
If you have it to spare, any amount will help! If you're struggling and don't have it to spare - do NOT feel bad and absolutely do NOT give what you cannot. This will make Tim angry and sad. You don't want to see Tim angry. I mean, he's pretty hurt so you're safe for now but eventually he'll be walking again and he has a long memory. You know it's true. You can share it to spread the word - that will help!
But seriously, thank you Tim for allowing us to do this.
