Hi, my name is Lori and I'm looking to raise funds for my daughter and her new husband.

Three short days after the newlywed couple celebrated their, “I do’s,” Tim found himself in the ER with a severely infected foot ulcer. The wound, which started out as a small callus, was being well maintained at home until the couple decided to move their two households into one. The wound grew significantly larger, which warranted a phone call to be seen by a new podiatrist.

At his appointment on Monday, 10/28, he was immediately sent to the ER and then later admitted after some blood work and an MRI. The diagnosis didn’t look good, and the doctor threatened below-the-knee amputation. Thankfully, surgery went better than expected. The doctor was able to salvage the limb by only needing to remove the small pinky toe and the dead tissue surrounding it. However, this is where we ask for help.

Tim isn’t eligible for FMLA or paid time off due to only being at his current employer for a short time. There’s also the possibility of another surgery to help fix the deformed foot, to relieve pressure and friction, so this type of wound doesn’t happen again. (We may have failed to mention this is the same foot that caused him serious issues in 2020). Tim has also recently, (and graciously), accepted the role as a step-parent and offered a steady stream of income for his new household; a wife, three kids, two dogs, and some guinea pigs.
