Hi, my name is Amy. I’ve set up this fundraising page for my 5yr old niece Tilli Cremin.
On Tuesday 5th April 2022 we received a call to say Tilli had suffered a seizure at school & ambulance was on way. When we arrived at school, instantly we could see Tilli had a stroke all the signs were there Face, Arm, Speech. When arriving at our local hospital Tilli had calmed down slightly but obviously very tired. She then suffered another seizure & at that point we requested a scan. Fast forward after lots of tests, scans, it was confirmed our little independent, beautiful girl had suffered a stroke and was transferred to a neurologist team at addenbrookes hospital. Never in a millions years did we think it was possible for a child so young to suffer with this.
Tilli spent a short while on the ward and then ICU as her left blood vessel was a lot narrower then normal. At this point, Tilli was unable to move her right side including her face.
Tilli is a very determined little girl and the neurosurgeon was very impressed with her progress that she’s been discharged from hospital.
She is currently waiting for a referral to the Children’s Trust Chadworth where she will receive a intense residential rehabilitation programme if accepted. Unfortunately there is a waiting list. Tilli’s parents left hospital with the understanding she would be receiving Physio everyday for 1hr, unfortunately due to funding/covid/lack of resources this is now only 1hr a week. Tilli is improving every day but there is still such a long way to go to get our girl back to her normal self.
The reason for me setting this page is to get Tilli more physio then 1hr a week, speech therapy, buy equipment & raise funds for her to attend the CIMT programme in Manchester if she doesn’t get a place at the Children’s Trust.
I will also be holding a cake sale to raise funds which I will post the date when arranged.
Thank you in advance for reading this & helping to support Tilli.
