Our beloved cat, Tigger, has been a cherished member of our family for 11 years, growing up alongside our 14-year-old daughter. Recently, Tigger was tragically attacked by our dog, Ruby, resulting in severe injuries. Tigger is currently in the ICU at an emergency animal hospital, suffering from a skull fracture in his inner ear, multiple puncture wounds, and significant swelling. He may require surgery, and the medical bills are already overwhelming.

Tigger and Ruby have always gotten along well, even snuggling together at times. However, we recently brought a new puppy into our home, who was being horribly neglected and abused. Ruby, also a rescue from a neglected and abusive situation, was triggered when the new puppy chased Tigger, leading to the attack. We are devastated by this unexpected turn of events.

In addition to Tigger's medical needs, we are faced with the difficult decision to rehome Ruby. While we love her dearly, Tigger's safety is our priority. Fortunately, my partner's brother in Hawaii has offered to take Ruby, where she can be the only pet in a loving home. However, the cost of transporting Ruby to Hawaii adds to our financial strain.

This situation has been emotionally devastating for our family, especially for our daughter, who has grown up with Tigger as her best friend.
