Hi, if you're reading this then more than likely you already know me and my current circumstances. I had to put my ego and embarrassment aside to ask for help from my community of family, friends and associates. This past year, besides the year my mom passed, has been the most challenging time for me and I find myself in a situation where I'm desperately seeking financial assistance. It feels like my world has been turned upside down, and I'm struggling to keep my head above water.

Almost one year ago, I was laid off from my place of unemployment along with many others in my department due to downsizing, and sadly I have not been able to find work since hence this ask for help. Just as I was grappling with this blow, to compound the difficulties, my health started to show signs of worry - I've had two procedures (breast, cervical) and I start physical therapy next week for my knee.

Come next month June , I will have fallen 4 months behind on rent after exhausting my unemployment and 401k savings. Today, as I'm typing this, the property manager of my rental space emailed me stating that if I don't pay the past due balance of $6,625 before my lease ends on July 31, 2024 then the owner will not renew my lease and I will have to find another place before the lease expires. As most of you may know who live here in NY, it's damn near impossible to find a suitable place even when you are working let alone when you're not especially with my size dog so I'm desperately trying to keep my apartment. Additionally, Copper is a lovely rottweiler but she's a big girl so moving with her in such short time frame with no savings to move is another huge obstacle. Also, if I had money to move, I would just pay this balance down. It's a vicious cycle!

I apologize for pouring my heart out like this but I'm truly at my wit's end. If you can find it in your hearts to help me through this difficult time, I would be forever grateful. Even the smallest contribution would make a world of difference towards the $11,425 balance that I have to pay by July 31, 2023.
