Help Tiffany Staas Get Rehabilitation

Hi, my name is Emma Staas and I am fundraising for my 48 year old mother and best friend, Tiffany Staas. Midnight on July 19th, 2023, my mom started having trouble breathing and told us to call 911. We did, and as the ambulance pulled into the hospital, she went into cardiac arrest and they resuscitated her via defibrillation after 7 minutes. About an hour later, I was allowed to see her for the first time. She was sedated and on a ventilator and was getting ready to be moved into the ICU. My mom ended up being on the ventilator until September 9th and in the ICU until September 28th. During that time, we discovered that she had lost usage of her right arm and both of her feet, we discovered that she lost her eyesight to the point where she can only make out shapes and colors, she suffered from a blood clot, she was taken off the ventilator and then re-intubated, and she underwent a tracheostomy. On October 4th, my mom was moved into a nursing facility in order to get physical, occupational, and speech therapy in hopes that one day she can return to the life she had before this as well as well as regain usage of her limbs. Unfortunately, her insurance has informed us that they are unwilling to continue covering her stay after only 2 weeks in the nursing facility, we have no way as a family to pay for her to stay in the nursing facility as it is estimated to cost $10,000-$12,000 a month. We are asking for donations so that we can keep her in this facility to not only get her therapy and rehabilitation but also so that she can continue to get the medical attention she needs.
