Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but life has a special talent for throwing curveballs when you’re already juggling two kids, a job, and the general chaos of being a single working mom. This week, my car was repossessed. The one thing that gets me to work and doctor appointments, gets my kids to school, and keeps our little family moving forward. Losing it has already created a domino effect, and I’m doing everything I can to keep us afloat without letting the additional stress swallow me whole.

If you’re able to contribute—any amount truly helps more than you know. If you can’t, a share is equally meaningful. Being the determined and resourceful person that I am, I have always found a way to keep us afloat and minimize the effects that instability can have on children. I’m not someone that usually asks for help, but I know that this is too heavy for me to bear alone and asking for support from my community is the best way to get through this storm.

I’m working with my lender to get the car back, but the costs—fees, past due payments, and the unexpected expenses that come with situations like this—are more than I can manage alone right now. I’m humbly asking for help to get my vehicle returned so I can keep working, keep my kids stable, and keep our life on track.
