My name is Tiffany Nish. My beautiful baby girl who I also call my little Pickle died of a drug overdose in her apartment on 22 May 2025, she was only 25 years old and her body was found by her best fiend and roommate (how horrifying). Getting the phone call from the police was the most tragic call I have ever had to take. I paid close 10k for her funeral and that was taking the cheapest route with cremation. Myself with friends did a deep clean of the apartment and it is in cleaner condition then when my baby girl and her roommate move in. I have never done this before asking for help. But, her land lord will not let them out of the lease now. I paid her June 2025 rent, to help the land lord have time to rent it out and we told the land lord he can keep the deposit, which is one months rent. That gives him two months rent and there is nothing that needs to be fixed or clean in the apartment. The Land Lord said we have to pay him 4k to buy out and then he said 6k to buy the lease or he will take us to court and ruin my (because I am her mother who co-signed) and her roommates credit rating). And to Top it off these past couple of weeks, my husband who works as a contractor for the DOD has been furloughed for at least 4 month. I have no way of how to get the buyout money to appease this heatless land lord.
