Hi Everyone, I am reaching out because my sweet cat Tiffany has suddenly become very ill. She's 13 years old and has been part of our family since she was just a tiny kitten. My son brought her home at about five weeks old, and she has lived with us ever since. She was a comforting presence for my children as they grew up, and now that they've moved out on their own, she has stayed with me.
My son is currently serving overseas and would help if he could, but with him so far away, I'm handling Tiffany's care on my own. Tiffany is a very sweet and gentle cat—the kind that quietly chooses her people. Some visitors she'll walk right up to for pets, as if she somehow knows they are 'cat people', and others she keeps a little distance from. Anyone who meets her comments on how loving she is. One of my favorite photos of Tiffany is her sitting on top of my old dog Cocoa's house after she passed. Tiffany has always been such a sensitive, loyal little soul.
Recently, Tiffany began crying out in pain every time she tries to use the litter box. It's heartbreaking to see. The vet believes she needs urgent diagnostic testing—bloodwork and possibly imaging—to understand what's wrong and begin treatment. The upfront costs are more than I can manage on my own right now. I don't ask for help easily, but Tiffany deserves the chance to get better and live the rest of her years comfortably and pain-free. If you're able to donate, even a small amount, it will go directly toward her veterinary care. And if you're unable to donate, sharing this link would help more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for caring about Tiffany.
