Help Tiffany Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery

My name is Tiffany Greene and I’m creating this gofundme account to help with the medical and personal expenses of having a critical heart condition.

To make a very long story short, in 2025 I found out that I have a rare condition called pulmonary hypertension and diastolic heart failure. I spent weeks (maybe months, total) off and on the in hospitals at MU and KU as we were getting medications set up and treatment planned. Unfortunately, to complicate an already serious medical condition, in November 2025 we found out that I have a VERY rare condition. I have a pulmonary artery aneurysm, a dangerous enlargement of an artery in my heart. It is usually only found on autopsies after people die.

We were referred to the Mayo Clinic to find out about cardiothoracic surgery on my heart. It is a very complicated procedure and will have to be done as open heart surgery.

We just spent a week in Rochester and are heading back on Sunday, March 15th for appointments beginning on March 16th. I am reaching out for financial help from our loved ones to help with the costs of another Airbnb, travel expenses, as well as helping to offset the cost of being off work without PTO. Both Amber and I have went through all of our PTO. I’ve taken loans off of my 401K and I’ve also taken an early withdrawal, but that account is getting low.

We are usually the people donating to GFMs and adopting people for Christmas—it feels very odd to be in the position of needing help ourselves. But we do need it now and I’m brave and humble enough to ask. We do not qualify for assistance with cheaper lodging from the social services department at Mayo, because when we are working, we make good money. It feels insane to have to try to explain that when we aren’t working because we’re there, but that is how the need-based help works.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading. I will be forever grateful for every donation, big or small, that helps make it possible for us to travel 7 hours to see a heart surgeon and to have this deadly and critical condition fixed.
