Help Tiffany & Baby Stay Safe

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a humble spirit — something I never thought I’d have to do.

As many of you know, I am expecting my first baby this August. Recently, my doctors advised me to stop working early to protect my baby’s health and avoid preterm labor. While I’m so grateful to do everything I can to give my baby the best start, this unexpected change has put me in a very difficult financial position.

Unfortunately, I found out that I don’t qualify for short-term disability income (STDI) because, in Montana, disability benefits don’t start until after the baby is born. My job — where I’ve worked for almost three years — also doesn’t begin paid leave until the baby arrives.

This means I’m left with only 14 hours of PTO and about $1,000 worth of July bills that are coming due, plus August rent of $1,200, before my baby is even here.

I’ve always been someone who worked hard, cared deeply for others, and did everything I could to help those around me. Asking for help does not come naturally to me — I’m usually the one offering a hand, not reaching out for one. But right now, as I prepare to become a first-time mama, I have no other choice.

I want to bring my baby into this world safely and with as much peace of mind as possible. If you’re able to help in any way — by donating or sharing this page — it would mean the world to me.
