I am raising funds on behalf of Tiffany and Chanel Nielsen who recently lost their father. Dr. Terry Nielsen passed away on April 20th after battling a rare, aggressive, and degenerative brain disease for the last 2 years.
Prior to his declining health, Terry practiced obstetrics and gynecology, not as a job, but as a calling. He never saw it as work - he truly loved what he did. He brought life into this world with compassion and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of care that will be remembered for generations. There's a story that captures the very essence of Terry. One day, a patient who had lost her insurance came to him and said, "Doctor, can I pay you with tamales?" Without hesitation, Terry smiled and said, "Of course you can." Because for Terry, it was never about money. It was about people. He treated every patient with dignity, grace, and kindness - because that was who he was.
He instilled values of compassion, hard work, and perseverance in his children. Both Tiffany and Chanel will be graduating high school, with honors, in a few weeks. Their mother is on medical disability leave. Both girls are working part-time jobs to help their mother with household expenses. They plan to attend college in California but are struggling with managing their father’s medical and funeral expenses.
They are heartbroken by this loss, and while no amount of money can heal the pain, we hope to provide some financial support to help Tiffany and Chanel during this difficult time. Terry spent his life giving to others, and now we have the opportunity to honor him by supporting the people he loved most.
Thank you for your generosity.
