It’s the New Year! When we wish each other love, happiness, and health. Our gal, Tiffaney Prewitt, needs help with that last one. In the spirit of “New Year, New Me,” Tiff has received some fresh metal in her ankle as of this past Wednesday, December 31st.

The streets of New York. They can be tough, am I right? At any moment, one can wander out and be soaked by a passing taxi in the rain, have an air conditioner drip tainted water into one’s mouth (or worse; have one fall on them), or even fall on the stairs into the subway. Which is how Tiffaney has now found herself with a newly repaired ankle and no ability to work. This is an awful accident for anyone, but especially for someone who makes their living literally running around a restaurant.

With a recovery period of at least three months (let’s be real; more likely four), this is a lot of lost income. Not to mention that, even with pretty great insurance, those surgery and medical bills add up quickly.

Tiff needs our help. She has been with The Smith for over a decade as both a server and shift supervisor. She’s a consummate professional and perfect coworker. Beyond all that, though, she is a stunning friend.

Tiff will listen and laugh with you about any given subject, while always having thoughtful words to offer back. Or just silence if that’s what you’re looking for. She would offer you the shirt right off her back (or at least the beanie off of her head in freezing cold temperatures), accompanied by a wildly witty comment, a laugh, and if you’re lucky, a hug. It’s time we all give her a giant hug back. In the form of cash!
