Help Tiff & Kenny Focus on Getting Healthy

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law, Tiffany and Kenny Harrell. On September 29, Kenny tested positive for Covid 19, at which time, he and Tiffany both began quarantining. Tiffany worked from home for a few days, until she began showing symptoms of Covid, too.

Tiffany recovered quickly, but Kenny has not been so fortunate. His health continued to decline until, on October 5, he asked Tiffany to take him to the emergency room at Kadlec Hospital. He was admitted immediately and has been there since. He has since been diagnosed with pneumonia, and has been on a bipap to keep his oxygen at safe levels nearly nonstop since.

Late the night of Oct. 22, Kenny was diagnosed with sepsis, and early the morning of Oct. 23 he was moved to ICU and intubated. He is mildly sedated, but is able to communicate in writing. Tiff and Kenny were informed today that once his oxygen needs improved, he would get a tracheostomy (safer than intubation for the long-term), and ultimately be sent to an acute long-term care facility, most likely in Post Falls, ID, until he could return home.

While Kenny has medical insurance, there will be extensive medical bills, travel expenses, and just general living expenses not covered by insurance. Combined with the lack of income while he recovers, these expenses could be catastrophic for them…during a time when all we really want them to be able to focus on is getting well and being able to come home.

They understand that this is a big “ask,” but they are humbly asking for your help.
