Help Tif Get A Home Of Her Own

This is my beautiful girlfriend Tiffany B. She's 55 years old and is currently paying $500 a week rent for a tiny one-bedroom apartment in Sydney to house herself and her little dog Reddy. She has a secure job but is unable to save enough money quickly enough to be able to buy her own place. Due to her age, and bank lending criteria, it's a race against time.

Her rent is about to go up to $550 or $600/week. We have calculated that if she continues to pay this amount of rent AND tries to save, it will take her another three or four years to save for a deposit. By then she will be getting close to 60.

As an older woman, Tif’s greatest fear is destitution. And, going by statistics, her fear is not irrational, with the demographic of the fastest growing rate of homelessness being single older women. We, of course, would never let that happen. But it would be so wonderful to see her living in a place of her own.

With her beauty, she could probably go on SugarDaddy’s.com or Sugar Mummy’s.com and find herself a rich banker husband or wife, but she, quite understandably, doesn’t want to do that.

Instead, Tif prefers to spend her time helping recovering addicts to live meaningful and productive lives (she has done this for 20 years now), teaching yoga, singing and talking to dogs and cats on the streets where she walks Reddy. Her ultimate life dream is to open a sanctuary for rescued animals.

Will you help her achieve her goal of having a home of her own?

It’s pretty ridiculous that I even have to put together a fundraiser like this for Tif. Access to permanent secure housing is a fundamental human right, and it is rapidly becoming a pipe dream for so many older women like Tif.

Her beloved partner Greg (Affectionately known as Greggles) passed away from cancer about four years ago. Tiffany spent two years taking care of him and helping him get the medical treatment he needed. She racked up nearly $50k in credit card and personal loan debt just to pay for Greg’s medical treatment. It was going to take her about 15 years to pay off that debt, but thankfully she was able to pay it off much sooner with two generous donations from friends.

Since her debt has been paid off, she has been able to save about $18,000 but needs to raise at least another $50,000, plus a bit more for stamp duty and legal costs, in order to buy a small apartment in Sydney.

My vision is to help her move into her own home in 2023. Will you help me help her achieve her lifelong dream?

And I know that if you needed a place to stay in Sydney, Tif would be the first person to want to help you out. Just as long as you don’t mind Reddy wanting to sleep on your bed. (He actually makes a pretty good bed warmer).

I will probably now be in big trouble with Tif for creating this fundraiser, as she would never ask for help from anyone, and is always giving to others.
