Help Tiesto Beat Cancer.
My name is Lucas Corey-Yares, and on one frosty March morning, a half-frozen kitten stepped out of the backyard shed, onto my shoes, and chirped a shivery arpeggio at me. I asked him, "are you a pick-up kitty?" (spoiler alert: he was), and scooped him up. As he purred away in my arms, snuggling into my chest for warmth, I realized three things:
1. I had a cat now.
2. his name was Tiesto.
3. We were going to be inseparable.
Years followed of Tiesto as my little tuxedo shadow, sleeping where I sit and walking where I go. His meow and his body grew up, but he was still the feisty, snuggly little kitten I rescued out of the cold.

Then everything changed.
He lost his appetite, followed by half his weight. A change in diet helped, but not enough. Some of his spark came back, but not enough. Then, the lab results came back.
Cancer.
B-cell lymphoma. Without treatment, he has a month, maybe two, but with chemotherapy? With chemo, he could live out the rest of his natural life. Response to chemo in cats, particularly for this kind of lymphoma, is apparently miraculous. 3-6 years of my best friend back, who wouldn't say yes to that?! My finances, as it turns out.
Getting to this point has cost upwards of $2,000. Further treatment would require six rounds of chemo, each costing $500. That's more than I can afford.
And so, I've come to ask for your help.
Your donation will be used to cover Tiesto's existing diagnostic bills, as well as his ongoing chemotherapy treatments. There are no guarantees - life is life - but together, we can make sure Tiesto has the chance he needs to get back the time he deserves.
