After seeking a fourth opinion, he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor. The veterinarian determined that amputation is necessary to prevent the cancer from spreading and to preserve his quality of life. Delaying the procedure could place Tiberius’s life at serious risk, and the cost of surgery and associated medical care is more than Dallas’s family can manage alone.
