Tiara is an incredible, devoted single mother in her early 50s, whose world revolves around her two young boys, Cash and Zackary. An active, hands-on mom, Tiara has always instilled in her children a love for the outdoors and sports, whether hiking, biking, or playing ball. Despite any challenges life has thrown her way, Tiara’s unwavering dedication to her children has always been her greatest joy and purpose.

Just three months ago, Tiara and her boys made a fresh start by moving to the Orangeville area, hoping for new opportunities and a bright future. However, their world was turned upside down when Tiara was suddenly diagnosed with heart and kidney failure, and she was placed on the transplant list for both organs. To make matters even more challenging, Tiara only has one kidney to begin with. The physical toll of her condition has been overwhelming, leaving her unable to work the 50-hour weeks she was once managing as a contracted painter and with Diabetes Canada. Now, she can only work about 10 hours a week, which is nowhere near enough to support herself and her children.

As Tiara’s medical condition continues to worsen, she’s been in and out of the hospital multiple times a week, and sometimes a visit turns into a stay. These extended hospitalizations take away precious time from her family and add a level of stress and emotional pain as her children watch their mother’s health decline.

On top of the mounting medical costs, Tiara is struggling to cover basic living expenses. Rent, groceries, and the astronomical costs of her medications have become nearly impossible to manage, and while she’s received help from loved ones, the bills continue to grow faster than she can keep up. With her ability to work severely limited, Tiara feels overwhelmed by the financial burden, and she’s constantly worried about falling deeper into debt.
